From Cambridge University: the director of the Scott Polar Research Centre, Prof Julian Dowdeswell talks about his job. He has to visit Greenland and Antarctica to measure glaciers, so there are lots of pretty pictures to watch.   1. I had watched this last week and found him very modest. He has also worked very extensively on Svalbard, Severnaya Zemlya and Canadian Arctic Glaciers and has been instrumental in the development of the Autosub program for looking beneath Antarctic Ice Shelves.
